Creating an alternative: Designing a tire cutting towable machine.
This project was conceived to provide a cost-effective alternative to conventional tire cutting machines. Through a methodical process of benchmarking, reverse engineering, and creative synthesis, we successfully integrated the most effective ideas to engineer a cutting-edge solution that is both efficient and quick.
The design was meticulously crafted with a focus on ease of manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance. Recognizing its application in the agricultural field, special attention was given to ensuring the machine's robust performance under diverse climate conditions. Careful consideration was also given to the selection of materials, opting for those readily available and cost-effective without compromising quality. This approach not only streamlined the production process but also ensured practicality in both assembly and long-term upkeep.
The process to get there
Every project, particularly in engineering, inevitably involves the less glamorous phases of sketching, crunching numbers, and making mistakes—a somewhat unattractive but indispensable process that ultimately leads to the creation of a beautiful (sometimes) final result.
Steps to get there.
The pursuit of an impeccable design involved FEA simulations to ensure the precise performance of the model. Key mechanisms underwent rigorous analysis, yielding insights that guided us in making enhancements and strategic redesigns.
