Summer 2014: Bibhu Mohapatra Internship

During Summer 2014 I had the opportunity to intern at the studio of acclaimed evening wear designer and furrier Bibhu Mohapatra. During my time there, I was given the responsibility of developing and creating original textile designs that would inspire the Spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. Once the textile prints were completed, I was able to further my involvement in the design process by altering my original designs for use in placement on actual garments, intricate embroideries, knit fabrics, and fur pieces. The designs were showcased during Bibhu Mohapatra's New York Mercedes Benz Fashion Week show in September.
