Dynamic digital sculptures for metaverse and "Eternal Delight" video installation, project development history
This project, on the border between art and design, began as a series of abstract digital moving sculptures that, according to my idea, should organically exist in the spaces of the metaverse. Then, as now, I was fascinated by the possibilities for creativity that open up without physical limitations: color, volume, texture, movement - all in one piece, and in addition, the effect of presence. The concept for this series of sculptures was inspired by the idea of memeticity, the difference is that here memeticity turns out to be as abstract as possible, far from any associations with Internet memes. The main form is the result of playing with AI, our common attempts to imagine the future of the metaverse, how spaces will look and be organized in it.
To create the sculptures, I used the Blender program, and a procedural tool in it called “Geometry Nodes.” With the help of “Geometry Nodes”, all the metamorphoses that occur with the sculpture during its repeated circular movement, as well as textures, were created.

My wife and partner, curator Natalia Rizdvenko brought a second wind to the project; with her suggestion and thanks to her professional support, the project was exhibited at the "Dust" cultural space, having acquired additional semantic richness thanks to the shamanic music of Evgueni Galperine, thus the video installation Eternal Delight arose.

Now I am looking for opportunities for further development of the project. I will be glad to any cooperation, especially with specialists who can help move the project into an interactive space.
