CONCEPT
The choice of the restaurant's location on the site is based on the distinctive features of the landscape and the positioning of the most scenic viewpoints. Panoramic glass windows and spacious terraces enable visitors to enjoy the views regardless of the weather, and the location of the greenhouse allows for possible expansion in the future.
One of the main goals of the project was to minimize
its ecological footprint. There were chosen three main materials: wood, glass and concrete.
In addition to the standard seating, the restaurant offers various specialized areas, including tables within the greenhouse, two sections with bar seating, a lounge area by the fireplace, and several benches for quiet nature observation. The architectural design draws inspiration from traditional ornamentation, incorporating color to distinguish it from the surrounding landscape.
To further explore the local environment, the project includes an ornithological tower. By ascending this tower, visitors can appreciate breathtaking views and observe Icelandic fauna in their natural habitat.
