Dil-o-Nigah Musalman Nahin To Kuch Bhi Nahin

Even if intellect proclaims 'La Ilaha', what's truly gained?

If the heart and gaze aren't Muslim, then it's all in vain.

خِرد نے کہہ بھی دیا ’لااِلہ‘ تو کیا حاصل

دل و نگاہ مسلماں نہیں تو کچھ بھی نہیں

معانی: خرد: عقل ۔ لا الہ: اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ۔ دل ونگاہ: دل اور نظر ۔

مطلب : اگر مسلمان زبان سے کلمہ توحید پڑھ بھی لے اور خدا کو الہ مان بھی لے تو اس سے اس وقت تک کچھ حاصل نہیں ہو سکتا جب تک کہ دل سے بھی اس کا اقرار نہ کیا جائے ۔ اقرار دل سے مسلمان کی نگاہ میں بھی فرق پڑ جاتا ہے اور یہی مقصود مسلمانی ہے ۔ مگر آج کا مسلمان زبان سے تو کلمہ پڑھتا ہے لیکن اس کا دل اور اس کی نگاہ اس کلمے کے مطابق نہیں ہے ۔
