Office Design for a Garment Export business house run jointly by a family of 12 members. Keeping this in mind the office has lounging area for the family which includes a diwan like seating for the grandfather and dining area for all to have meals together. The grandfather along with his sons had a very traditional mindest hence they liked to maintain a distance from the office staff and have their own privacy. But the grandsons who have been educated abroad sought to establish western principles of seating along with he staff and maximising interaction with them, hence the sons have been provided for cabins within the main work floor area and their cabins are designed with modern sensibilities. The design also had to incorporate a garment viewing gallery for visitors. The project included gaining a keen sense of how an organization functions and what are the dynamics and hyrarchies involved.
