Yo-yo Display Stand
This display stand is comprised of entirely laser cut transparent acrylic, selected to present the collectors’ admired yo-yo collection at the forefront of the eye and set the display stand unobtrusively in the background. In competitive yo-yoing, collectors are often in search of creative ways to display their collection. Single stands and DIY shelving are the available market options. Professional yo-yos are machined to a high quality and this minimalist display stand is designed to exhibit each yo-yo's materiality in the deserving light.
The stand is simply assembled using three parts slotted together for easy assembly. The design of the yo-yo slots is made intentionally so that the collector can simply pop each yo-yo in and rest them in the mounting slot, acting as a quick store and release to encourage regular practice. More permanent storage is supplied using the slots near the edge of the frame where the collector can screw together and mount yo-yos that are used less frequently, but still proudly displayed.
