Baghdad, Iraq: 20 Years Later

In this poster, I wanted to capture how war can affect the cultural heritage and identity of a place. The invasion and its aftermath had a profound impact on the city and its people, destroying much of its infrastructure, heritage, and social fabric.

The eye represents the people of Baghdad, who have witnessed so much pain and suffering, but also resilience and hope, implying that there is more to Baghdad than meets the eye.
The Poster was displayed at the Tamayouz 2nd International Poster Exhibition titled: 'Iraq 2003: 20 Years Later', which was held in Baghdad at the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association headquarters in Al-Mansour in October, and in Amman, Jordan at the Hall of the Iraqi Business Council in November of 2023.
