Research
My visual research centered around themes of Gender Equality, 'The Birth Control Burden' and how to visually depict such an issue. This lead me to visual imagery of The Garden Of Eden as well as to the work of artists such as Faye Wei-Wei and Sophy Hollington, who inspired my decision to use Linocut as my medium.

Process
Displayed above is the process I undertook; from the scamp, to lino-cutting and the final chosen print
Colour Palette
My colour palette includes soft hues of yellow, blue and pink. This aims to reference the colour of common contraceptive pills, as well as to reflect a sense of ease (communicating the resulting feeling and experience of viable birth control options for both men and women.
