Issue 9: Telling Tales
This was a really fun project. The brief was to illustrate a folk/fairy tale from your own country so I chose a contemporary english folk tale by Bloomsbury writer David Garnett called Lady into Fox. Even though the tale ended sadly in a fox hunt I wanted to capture the more joyful aspects of the story - the idea of letting go of all inhibitions and becoming a wild woman in the English countryside whilst hanging out with a load of foxes.
