These are a selected spreads from the 40 page children's book that I wrote and illustrated while living in Rome for five months (Winter/Spring 2014.)  Shortly after arriving in Rome, I became enamored with the fantastically dressed older women that I saw on the street, especially those who frequented a very old church in the neighborhood of Trastevere. "Le Nonne di Santa Maria in Trastevere" is a tribute to the very awesome grandmas, or "nonne," of Rome.
