Ramadan Kareem!!
As part of my internship here at Wolff Olins in Dubai, I was asked to create a Ramadan greeting card for all the clients. Something funky and interesting they said, cool to look at and full of good cheer. Ramadan is the holy month in Islam where muslims fast from sun-up to sunset, no water or food for sometimes nearly 15 hours depending where you live. It's both a worship and a celebration, for Iftar, the time when muslims break fast, it's always a great celebration.
Here is the final rendition of the greeting card. The idea was to make something that suited this region. Something that contained ramadan-esque elements as well as embraced the Khaleeji Klitsch which the Emiratis of this region love. This it the first time I made a gif and also the first time I've ever done anything in this style. It was incredibly fun

First version
When I made this one I just wanted to make something fun and crazy. Something so insane and different from anything I've ever done before. So I went a bit loco with it. Turned out that at the end, it wouldn't be suitable for their clients in Saudi Arabia so I had to edit it. A lot. Which is why the final version is much more toned down, simple.. and there's no laser cat. (the laser cat was per request of one of the designers here haha)
