Every year I work on a Halloween themed project on my live stream for the month of October. October 2022’s project was the Phantom Pantry and it was quite the undertaking. The project started out as an idea to create a spooky isometric multi-level basement and evolved with user input to include a ton of different haunted food and pantry related elements and a creepy boiler room. We had a lot of fun with this one! If you are a subscriber, I have included a subscriber project for this that has the final items as assets you can use for your own project!
The chat helped me put together a blueprint of the rooms and floors needed for the pantry, the dotted lines indicated floors offset or below the main level. I was able to use Illustrator's 3d effects on the blueprint line work to extrude out the walls as a starting point to build the structure right from 2D to 3D!
Below are the notes we took during the stream to capture the chat's requests for items and elements to add to the scene. This ended up being pretty extensive which meant we had to extend the project through December to get it fully complete, but I think the final result was worth it.
