Movie/ PV Color Study

"The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty":
1. Overall movie has vibrant color(and A LOT rule of third).
2. Dark Navy Blue dominate the movie with skin color shade a little bit red-ish(remind me of those of great gatsby)
3. Office scene always dominated with dark blue and grey. symbolize boredom and stagnant condition.
Almost every scene involve office consist of character framing(3,4,5,10,20).Probably symbolized the restraint/no freedom.
4. Cream color and yellow always used in the scene that represent change, or in a scene with the lady character
(frame 6,8,9,21,22,28,29,30)
5 Climax scene has most yellow than any other frame(frame 29).
6. While the first half frame got more bluish and grey, on the last few frames, the color got more shades of cream, yellow)
7. This movie use a lot of red(red car, red sweaater, red plane, red jacket, red carriage) to make the object stand out from the environment & easy to recognize.
 “Grand Budapest Hotel” (Part 1):
1. This movie has 3 different layer and each layer has different screen ratio! Each ratio represent different era of cinematic history! http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2014/03/06/grand_budapest_hotel_aspect_ratios_new_wes_anderson_movie_has_three_different.html
2. Sometime the character intentionally blended into environment and the contrast is put on something else which become intentional eye distraction.
3. The lamp lighten up when the character talking about the past (frame 11)
4. The use of green in the movie honestly makes me curious.
"Dark Horse"

The video is highly saturated and getting colder and colder(probably because the shades of blue and pink) compare to warm yellow in the beginning. The value is also not as contrast as in the beginning. On the climax scene, pink and blue saturation is the highest. I also don`t see pure green color in the video.
Not to mention the composition is beautiful…
I am curious about the 13th frame though. Why the the pole contrast is higher than the singer??
If anybody can answer this, do let me know.
"3 Idiots":
This movie use red and cyan color in a very interesting way. Red is always used on important object and important item to make it stand out in a lot of scene (red car, red bike, red clothes on important scene, red door, etc), while cyan is used to differentiate past and present. Also the intensity of the cyan and blue is used to change the mood. This can be seen on the ending scene where blue/cyan and red is on the highest contrast than any other scene. This remind me of “The Journey” who use the same color for the climax on the last stage.
The complexity of objects on the scene makes this study takes longer than i thought. But it’s very interesting study! Sometimes there’s a lot of things you can realize by “re-draw” something.
“Doctor WHO” episode “Journey to the center of the TARDIS”:
This episode is so memorable for me because i realized that this episode have TONS of beautiful scene. By slicing the color scheme, i realize that they use different color for different settings (greenish for chasing scene, bluish when it’s related to main control room, etc) but keep the black color thick among the scene. THAT until the climax, which is the only scene using TONS of white, giving strong impact.
