Eye of the Earth - Hydrierwerke Pölitz
Hydrierwerke Pölitz AG was a joint venture between IG Farben, Royal Dutch Shell and Standard Oil of New Jersey. The listed company operated the largest German hydrogenation plant in Pölitz near Stettin from 1940 to 1945. Conventional and synthetic finished and semi-finished oil products, in particular petrol, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, lubricants and paraffins, were manufactured from petroleum and hard coal.
