[german; Twins] is a short history book written for educational purposes. It describes a Nazi doctor who was performing horrific medical experiments on Jewish prisoners and very young children; especially twins. His name was Dr. Josef Mengele, also known as “Angel of Death.”
The book consist of 5 chapters. Starting with a short summarization of the World War 2 and it’s events, it continues to inform on the lives of Jews during the harsh times. Then, we move onto Josef Mengele, his life before the war, the crimes he committed, and the chase to arrest him after the was was over. Lastly, the books tells us the awful things discovered at the concentration camps and few stories of surviving victims.
Concept
The goal was to create a visually striking book that will keep the reader intrigued and absorbed in. Instead of using blood resembling red tones that are normally chosen for these type of topics, I choose to use more modern, magenta tones.

To properly express the severity of the crimes and the agony of the people affected, I used black and white photographs and bright magenta elements, creating high contrasting gruesome images.
