2017: TRIANGULAR TROUMBLE

The idea of the Triangular Trouble came after the observation of MVRDV’s Mark Hall, in which the shape of the building is obtained by subtracting a particular shape from a rectangle. In this project the idea was to work with the shape of triangle. After many transformations three different triangles were produced. These three different forms multiplied together to form the final shape of the building. These triangle shapes create diffenent spaces for ‘’extreme sports’’ or less adventurous. Thus, the five floor building includes a parkour space, a skateboard ramp, an outdoor and indoor climbing wall, a gym, seminar rooms, small amphitheaters, reading areas, areas to relax and a rooftop café.
The site location is in Volos in Greece in the corner of Dimitriados and Filellinon streets close to the citycenter. The building is accessible by entrances on both roads. While inside the building you can move using the main stairway or stairs that connect the floors separately.
