KAUTZ
Kautz is a bespoke furniture joinery run by German Master Craftsman Till-Oliver Kautz and his wife, together with skilled and experienced furniture maker Johnathon Palmer. Although I only worked together with them for a short 3 months, it was a unique and unforgettable experience where I enjoyed a lot of hands on experience with the craft!
my first project for some organic screens — lots of work on the orbit sander to get those curves!
i've never stained wood in such bright and bold colours!
custom mixing the wood stain to match the tone of the wood to what the client wanted — a little bit of strawberry-milk-like sorcery going on
...compared to painting wood for some samples! a certain knowhow with the paintbrush is needed.
