Paws For a Cause
Support your local animal shelter! Donating helps these animals make sure they have plenty of food and we are able to give them their shots when needed to keep them happy and healthy until they find a new home! Another organization, Paws WITH a Cause helps train service dogs for those who are disabled. The prices are pretty high when it comes with training and placing a certain dog in this program, but with all the help we can make this happen!

How It All Started
To be able to find out what genre I was going for, I focused on two different themes. One was centered more around people with disabilities, so I chose to try and include a lot of medical symbols as well as a person with a dog. The other theme I ended up picking from was hearts and paws. I figured that dogs can be helpful in other ways than just helping the disabled, as well as trying to come up with a design that would entice people to want to go out and get a dog because of how cute a paw and a heart are together. Each individual image could be easily used as a perfect application to things like stickers, bags, t-shirts and hoodies, mugs, bumper stickers, etc..

Here is a poster example for the Paws For a Cause awareness for service dogs. I made each individual design into a stamp along the top of the poster. The thought bubble is an image I found on Google which I thought was a great piece to help with the message. The extra sayings are plastered along the sides of the poster make it feel like a sticker, which is why the text is sideways on the page. If you kept everything straight on the page, it would feel too boring and not keep the viewers interest for long. A light blue background gives it some air and happy and makes what important stand out.

A Few Other Merchandising Ideas!
