BEHIND THE SCENES:
During the time that I wrote this article, the pandemic was at its peak and I was taking online classes. Since K-Dramas and K-Movies were such a sensation back then (and even now, to be frank), I decided that featuring a Korean movie that was available on Netflix would be a relevant topic to cover—not to mention that as known to almost all of us, the Korean film industry has mastered the art of making zombie movies and TV shows, which #Alive is a clear example of.
Another reason why I chose #Alive is because, as already stated in the article, the events of the film were similar to the events that most of us faced during the pandemic, particularly the part where people were forced to be confined in their own homes for their safety. With that, I felt that highlighting this film would be relevant and would encourage others to watch it, as well as bring others the idea that there is still hope despite the hardships most of us faced in this period.
