Hotel Fantasia is an interactive visual novel with no plot and no purpose.
Hotel Fantasia exists on the tezos blockchain. To check in you need to buy a key (NFT key), but to get into the room you need to give this key to the “key keeper” (send the NFT to special tezos address). No one knows what happens to the key, but I generate a room for you in SD, pixelate it, paint it, glitch it, and generate a description via CLIP Interrogator and ChatGPT (it's a total schizo, but that's the fun of it).
The room can be transferred and sold, but here's the catch: the recipient's original address is forever embedded in the token, you get a portion of the resale royalties. How good this actually is is an open question if you read the story tokens.
By performing operations with tokens (selling them, transferring them, burning them) you can unlock story events - a kind of Achievements. The one who opens them for the first time gets a unique story token, all subsequent owners will get a consolation multi-edition token.
So far 13 keys have been distributed, 9 rooms have been opened with them, one of them was opened by myself. At least one key was stolen (I am not describing a plot here, it literally happened: the crypto wallet had been compromised and all tokens were stolen from it)
8 stories were opened, including the discovery that [SPOILER ALERT] when a token is resold, the previous occupant stays in the hotel, and some part of it stays in the room (you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave. Or can you?)
Fabula for the stories is written by me, the English text is written to me by ChatGPT, I then edit a little when he does not understand me. It's not schizo this time, but even readable (although after a while you realize that ChatGPT is a graphomaniac with a rather limited number of speech turns).
I only have some kind of an aesthetic vision of the project, but there is no pre-planned plot. I'm like a dungeon master who forgot to prescribe the quest and now twists on the fly (and the group behaves differently from what could be planned in advance anyway).
