Signature Statements Unique Hypersthene Jewelry Crafted with Distinction
Hypersthenes, a bluish-green color, is composed of magnesium and iron silicate. The word "hypersthene" comes from the Greek for "over strength," presumably referencing the substance's hardness compared to other minerals, such as hornblende, with which it was sometimes confused. The term "hypersthene" is not commonly used; enstatite or ferrosilite are more typical substitutes. But between the two minerals, there is a link called Hypersthene. Enstatite contains a higher proportion of magnesium, ferrosilite has a higher proportion of iron, and Hypersthene has almost half of the iron.
