This was done for the "World Gone Awry" assignment done in week 2--for this assignment, we were to take at least two composites and place them in a situation that wouldn't normally happen under normal circumstances.

For this image, I decided on mice astronauts--or "Mousetronauts," as I've called them. In this project, I trimmed out various parts of the images I used for this, such as the reflective helmets on the mice and replaced them with not only the images of the mice I wanted to show, but also threw in some shapes with an opaque coloring to give the illusion of them having helmets--the mouse in front specifically was created with a cut-out ellipse tool with a crescent-shape to indicate reflection. The light source was difficult to adjust for the composites I used at the time, so it does appear as if there are two different light sources when there would only be one, and I don't believe the shadow behind mouse number two would be realistic to the environment based on the shadow of the rover in the original photo.

As you can see, various animals in various situations were conceptualized, however I overall went with the mice astronauts because I loved the idea that the mice went to the moon after hearing that it was made of cheese, only to arrive to find that there was no cheese. With the mouse in the foreground's wide, beady eyes, as well his posture, it shows off that panic the mice would have in such a situation.
