Future of corals

This project is inspired by one of Earth's most complex ecosystems, coral reefs. It is a personal project that reflects the negative impact of climate change and other aspects that contribute to coral bleaching and their extinction. It is a celebration of the complex and unique forms these creatures create and how much they impact our own wellbeing. It is estimated that over half a billion humans depend on coral reefs, by means of protection, income and food. 

With this project I aimed to experiment with the use of 3D to highlight the beauty of corals, adding my own interpretation of each species I included. Each coral has its own description, composition and cause of threat. The project also contains an information design piece, which specifically refers to coral bleaching and its effects throughout the years.
