The Final Render
The Weekly Progress Updates
Week 1
I started out by trying to use nHair for grass. I tried testing its physics along with seeing how it would look on the hill I created in my MASH exercises.
Week 2
I started to work on building up a wooden shack to put on the hill, making the foundations and placing in planks with textures.
Week 3
More progress was made on the shack. This included building the roof and adding more variety to the planks through more textures and adding color jitter.
Week 4
I added the shack to the hill along with adding a clothesline which uses nCloth for the sheet on it. As of this point, there was still much more work to be done though my vision was starting to become more clear.
Week 5
The progress made by this week was using Substance Painter to give the hill more detail along with adding a baldness map to the nHair. I also modeled some rocks I planned to use MASH to place around the hill.
Week 6
By this week, I was starting to work on the finishing touches of the project and started to work more on the lighting and rendering itself. Some touches included adding the rocks, adding a texture to the sheet and fixing up the hill around the shack.
Week 7
At this point I was starting to work on the render video of this project and was testing having the time of day change while showing off the area.
