Little Red Riding Hood
Once upon a time there was a dear little girl who was loved by everyone who looked at her, but most of all by her grandmother, and there was nothing that she would not have given to the child. Once she gave her a little riding hood of red velvet, which suited her so well that she would never wear anything else; so she was always called 'Little Red Riding Hood.'
- Brothers Grimm
Cruel realities are always hidden behind every sweet stories we were told back in our childhood.

If it wasn't for the naivete of Red Riding Hood, the wolf would not have known where does grandma living and grandma would not have been devoured by the wolf in the first place.
In the real world, when the hunter cut open the wolf's stomach, he could have only find the remains of the little girl and her grandma.
There is no second chances for you to regret the decisions that you made.

So
does the moral of the story warns us
to be careful of strangers
or rather
hinting what seems to be the common attitude of the society nowadays:
trust no one but yourself
?
