Bespoke Awards
In 2015 and 2016 I was commissioned to create a set of bespoke awards for Bangor University, which I produced using layers of laser cut acrylic and wood. This commission arose following an earlier project for a smaller batch of laser cut appreciation tokens, which I produced with thanks to the access granted by Pontio's Innovation Hub / FabLab where I first learnt how to apply vector artwork to laser production and how to operate laser machinery.
Impact and Innovation Awards 2015
The first of two sets of bespoke awards were designed and created for the Impact and Innovation Awards in 2015. Due to the quantity required, the actual components for these awards were cut by laser company Clear Cut then assembled and packaged by myself.
Research Excellence Awards 2016
The Research Excellence Awards in 2016 saw a repeat of the same design used in the 2015 Impact Awards, this time using bamboo instead of plywood. For these awards I also produced a booklet which blended the design of the awards with Bangor University's brand colours.
