Portfolio 2013-2014

Self-branding for my body of works for 2013 to mid-2014. I made a workbook, business card and resume (details for that here.) Gem-encrusted pencils aren't included, but I'd love to get some personalized for me too!
The colors in the printed materials all turned out the way I intended them to except for the business card, which bummed me out a little.
I used the same herringbone pattern from my curriculum vitae. I think it looks better on a square template.
A short autobiography for the inside-front cover. The modern fonts are totally readable in print. I maintained just a subtle touch of quirkiness through the copies.
Reversed herringbone pattern for the title pages and table of contents.
These are for the page fillers, so every title page starts at the right.
Outside-back cover. Final message: "On my downtime, I geek out a lot and make memes."
Business card. Still consistent with my earlier copies.
Just the blank pattern for the back of the card.
I still used the color palette I used for my cv. The working color for this project is still Pantone Emerald Green (17-5641).
Here are the actual printed materials. I used simple materials since I'm just starting in the industry. I figured if ever I'll excel in this field (which I hope!), the progress of my taste, design and overall work will be reflected on the body of works I produce and the materials I used in putting my portfolio together. The cover is made of laminated board and the inside pages are of light paper.
I'm fine with the printing of the inside pages but it turned out to be oversaturated than I intended them to. It might also be the case that the paper is quite thin. I'm used to working with my colors printed on glossies.
A few pages for my editorial art direction.
Just a peek of the fashion styling section.
Some of the inside pages for my editorial art design.

If you notice, I consider myself a minimalist but I have to make more impactful designs for my work.
The business cards are a little shabby.
