Bio
I am an established textile artist, working primarily on site-specific commissions in the public and private sector using the technique of woven tapestry. Having completed postgraduate studies in Edinburgh College of Art, I returned to Dublin to set up my practice.
The fine detail that can be achieved in tapestry weaving and the blending of cotton, linen and woolen yarns, gives me the opportunity to express and explore image making and colour.  I enjoy working on both large and small-scale pieces.

Artists statement
I have a particular interest in archaeology and folklore and I greatly enjoy developing these themes as part of the creative process.
My recent work has been inspired by song. The evocative and poignant lyrics of ‘Skylark’ by Johnny Mercier; the ethereal beauty of Charles Villiers Stanford’s setting of ‘Blue Bird’ and Thomas Moore’s, ‘Silent oh Moyle’ are included in my latest work.
