In the heart of sustainability and age-old Indian craftsmanship lies the fabric that fueled a revolution – Khadi. Participating as a finalist in the 'Sustainability Fashion Challenge' co-organized by the Consulate General of India in Toronto, Fashion Zone at Ryerson University, State Bank of India (Canada), and Holt Renfrew, I endeavored to pay homage to Khadi, weaving its historic importance with contemporary style.

This collection transcends mere fashion; it weaves a narrative. It encapsulates tales of India's illustrious past, the sustainable ethos of its present, and the ageless designs anticipating its future

In the dynamic backdrop of transient fashion trends, this collection stands as a timeless haven, characterized by classic, minimalistic silhouettes that evoke the enduring essence of bygone eras. Transcending gender norms, each piece radiates versatility, offering universal comfort and style, rooted deeply in the profound ethos of Khadi, which embodies the pure freedom and grace of historical Indian craftsmanship. Imbued with India's rich heritage, the designs are accentuated with intricate Kantha embroidery, reminiscent of age-old saree quilts, and Warli art that portrays the harmonious tapestry of village life. Seamlessly blending pinstripes and Kantha-quilt patterns, the collection offers a year-round aesthetic appeal. Every piece is meticulously crafted from the revolutionary fabric, Khadi, symbolizing unwavering commitment to sustainability. Amplifying its innate beauty, the fabrics are dyed naturally, embracing the serene shades derived from tea, marigold flowers, and sumac.
