RockinPins is a company that creates officially licensed products for pop culture properties. They reached out to me to create prism sticker designs. We discussed our mutual affection for the prismatic stickers that used to be sold in coin-operated vending machines. I have designed more stickers for RockinPins than I can count for a wide variety of properties, but they all have a similar retro aesthetic. It can be challenging to use artwork that wasn’t designed to be a sticker, but I try to find interesting ways to adapt the artwork for the medium in a way that is fresh but also honors the original design.
