Creative Photoshop Composite
Create a creative composite image in Photoshop made of 6 images total, 3 being self-taken and 3 being copyright-free or self-taken. The composite should hone in on the fantastical - something unattainable in reality.
Moodboard
As I scoured composites for inspiration, I fell in love with the idea of miniature people interacting with objects at playful and unrealistic scales, and I decided to do my own version. But what to photograph?

I noticed my son’s train track on the ground. Sometimes when it’s suspiciously quiet, I find him quietly laying on the floor with his eyes as close as possible to his cars or trains. I instantly realized I wanted to create his imaginary world of play through what I imagine his brain to feel.

Edited Images
Image 1:  Cropped image to be more aligned with the rule of thirds.

Image 2: Cut out from background. Shrunk foot to align proportions of background image. Cut head and masked parts of hair to account for generative fill hat.

Image 3: Cut out and filtered with several gaussian blurs.

Takeaways
This assignment was daunting at first, but once I got started editing it became really exciting and fun. I think it is the most fun I’ve ever had in Photoshop. It helps that I had a cute model.

Generative Fill
I loved exploring this tool and found it fascinating. It was shocking how well it did with matching the background image.

Problems
I encountered several problems where I had to rethink, such as not accounting for how difficult putting a sky in would be with my blurred objects. I ditched that idea and found that the room background supported the story of my image anyways. In conclusion, I want to try this again!
