Business cards created in April 2014
Above is the full printing setup, with block, inkpad and sketchbook, the removable pages of which became the business cards.
The sketchbooks used are the smallest available size of Moleskine. I carry one of these at all times and have a growing collection, kept in careful chronological order. This made them a perfect resource for business card creation, as I always have one on me.
The design of the cards was created in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, the output to a laser cutter. Running the same file multiple times at high speed and low power made a deep etch possible without loss of detail. The QR code was created using an online generator, with a bit.ly shortener to make the QR code less complicated.
Additional 'occupation'  blocks were cut, allowing the cards to be tailored to any particular situation. This means I can choose what I want the recipient to remember me for, be it ceramics, toolmaking, jewellery or anything else.
