During my exchange semester at Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd in Germany within the the Process Design course, me and our international group worked on a design guide project. This design guide aims to bridge a significant gap in the representation of elderly individuals within the design field, specifically in the context of retirement houses. It explores the fundamental question, “How might we enhance the world for the elderly and encourage their integration into society?” The question holds significant importance as today’s youth will inevitably become tomorrow’s elderly. By striving for positive change and improving the lives of older individuals, we can inspire and motivate future projects to create a brighter future for all.
