This is a snap taken on our boat trip out to Skomer Island. Our guide during the trip was Jim, who had an amazing relationship with a local gull (based on food, but hey, still cool). Jim's knowledge and passion for the island nature reserve were infectious, a great travel-guide and 'poster boy' for the centre.
On the way out to the island most of the photographers on the boat had already mounted their long lenses, but I drew on some advice and learning from earlier in this course and selected a 24-70mm for some 'opportunities' that might pop up. Jim and his seagull pal were my reward.:-)
