Supergirl is definitely one of my favorite comic book characters. Not because of her spectacular achievements (and she has many, mind you), but because of her background. Even though it's immensely similar to her cousin Kal-El's, the difference lies in the age at which they "parted ways" from Krypton. Kal barely remembers his home planet; everything he knows comes from records. On the other hand, Kara holds in her memories the fateful day of Krypton's implosion, not to mention the fact that she had contact with her parents that day. Not only does she need to adapt to an environment that is alien to her (I can sympathize with her on various levels, haha), but she also has to learn to leave behind a tragic chapter of her life. Krypton is gone, but it lingers in her memories. Besides all that, she's adorable, hehehe. I really enjoyed drawing this. The pose and composition turned out great.
