The Archipelago Photography project is one of the social practice projects. This exhibition focuses on Shipu County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Using the real stories of citizens with different family backgrounds, occupations and ages as the overall narrative background, a group portrait of the archipelago is formed, which is presented using documentary photography to unfold the picture of family changes in the archipelago and the evolving social process.

Dewey used the concept of "live creature" to talk about the ability of humans to preserve experience, which is different from animals, as well as the directness and integrity of experience. Also, the relationship between people and the environment. People are part of the environment, and the environment is also part of people. The continuity between humans and animals, organisms and nature must be restored, and the continuity between art and non-art must be restored. Dewey said: “To restore the continuity between the refinement and intensity of form of experience as a work of art, and the generally recognized daily events, activities, and sufferings that constitute experience.”

In line with Dewey's concept of "an experience", starting from "impulse" and embracing the ambition to recognize objective objects, it transforms social practice activities into "expressive actions" of documentary photography, turning "things in the environment into means and media" "
