Hello! A hearty welcome to my Surface Pattern Design project. When I feel quite satisfied with the overall motif arrangement of a pattern, for the next step I run it through a few color palettes. Here sharing the most compatible color variations – sorted out from the recoloring process. Compatible in that sense is as a whole, it reflects a cohesive look.
At the end of 2022, I had participated in a short and sweet 5 day pattern challenge hosted by Bonnie Christine (the mentor who introduced me to the surface pattern universe). During this challenge, I ended up creating total 10 floral(ish) patterns.
This project includes the color variations of the fifth floral.
Don’t get me wrong. I understand the purpose of setting patterns on product mock-ups for visualization. It certainly has its own place in presentation. However, I love seeing pattern as a single spread too. They are like open ended questions that triggers imagination. Not sure if it’s only me or there exist others who might find it interesting as well!
