O Festival Raízes - Gastronomia Mineira nasceu a partir da relação atual da sociedade com o consumo de alimentos contendo alto nível de agrotóxico e um estilo de vida baseado em uma alimentação fast food, onde não se sabe mais o que se está comendo. Nosso conceito se baseia no fortalecimento da relação entre o campo e a cidade, aproximando as pessoas do consumo consciente de alimentos orgânicos, direto da terra.
Tendo como foco a tradição da comida mineira, ou seja, uma culinária regional com suas peculiaridades e recheada de afeto. Buscamos fortalecer o vínculo e criar novas conexões dos indivíduos com as raízes mineiras.
Entendendo que comer é um ato político, buscamos reforçar a conexão entre o campo e a cidade por meio da alimentação. Pensar para além de um simples hábito do cotidiano, mas que impacta na macropolitica e na micropolitica. Somos o que comemos.
Além disso, reforçar a gastronomia mineira que reflete a história de um povo, trazendo consigo memórias, cheiros e gostos. Sendo de grande valor simbólico e econômico para o estado. Valorizando produtos e produtores.

The Raízes Festival - Minas Gerais Gastronomy was born from the current society's relationship with the consumption of food containing high levels of pesticides and a fast food-based lifestyle where we no longer know what we are eating. Our concept is based on strengthening the relationship between the countryside and the city, bringing people closer to conscious consumption of organic food, straight from the land.
Focusing on the tradition of Minas Gerais cuisine, which represents regional cooking with its peculiarities and filled with affection, we aim to strengthen the bond and create new connections between individuals and their Minas Gerais roots.
Understanding that eating is a political act, we seek to reinforce the connection between the countryside and the city through food. We go beyond a simple daily habit, recognizing its impact on macro-politics and micro-politics. We are what we eat.
Furthermore, we aim to promote Minas Gerais gastronomy, which reflects the history of a people, carrying with it memories, aromas, and flavors. It holds significant symbolic and economic value for the state, thus valuing products and producers.
