Finding new ways to interpret blue dyeing.

Blue dyeing, an enchanting ode to Taitung's sky, ocean, and mountains.
Having mastered the craft of blue dyeing in this scenic county, we tried to elevate it from 2D to 3D. This pursuit goes beyond a mere collection of illuminating designs; it signifies a daring leap to redefine this traditional craft.

I. The Beginning of Life

In the vast expanse of the sea, life bursts forth, and from its depths, the genesis of existence emerges.

With deft hands, we skillfully fashioned dyed fabrics into coral-like forms, carefully concealing the vibrant blue hues within. Our intent was to push the boundaries of the interplay between color and light, daring to challenge the seamless gradient between them. As a result, a sacred atmosphere was birthed, with ethereal lights and shadows dancing in harmony.

II. Nature breath

Breeze whispers, light dances. Nature's rhythm rises and falls.

By suspending the dyed fabric at various angles, we crafted a lamp reminiscent of a wind chime and a baby crib mobile. It invites interaction, swaying with the touch of both users and the gentle winds.

III. The shining ripples

The sun-kissed sea shimmered and danced, a symphony of brilliant blue.

Tie-dyeing, a ubiquitous technique in blue dyeing, served as our foundation. We tried to preserve the 3D structure created through tying. As a result, sewing the fabric onto a grid with intentional wrinkles became the solution.
