Spring Semester 2014
Drawing Studio- Tom Mills
Fetish Cosmology

Project: "Make an object so powerful that you will care about it in ten years. Using conte, create a cosmology of your object."

An anonymous and random invitation was sent out to the RISD community (via the mailroom) asking the recipient to return a small personal item of their choice. This item was transferred inside the sculpture without being seen or touched. The final sculpture, pictured below, was sealed shut with resin, glue, and other materials so as to conceal the item inside.

An indiscernible sound is made when the sculpture is rotated at an angle or turned upside down, otherwise, the object inside remains unknown.
