While trying to keep busy this summer, I thought about starting a self study project series for my portfolio and also for practice, trying new programs and techniques, and fun. 

So, I came across a prompt to design a poster from a quote. I chose a quote form Dolly Parton that says, “If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.”

For my design I wanted my piece to have a cute and fun feeling to it. I created a rainbow and clouds with rain falling at the end, and had the quote in the middle of the rainbow. I added some texture to the top of the piece to finish it off.
