In order to design this project, I needed a lot of visual resources to introduce the identity of Tehran, and designing such an identity was not an easy task. Tehran is a city mixed with tradition and modernity, new urban elements next to Qajar period tiles. A city full of contrasts and stories. I looked for many elements, from night lighting to its new and old architecture, and finally I found what I wanted in a piece of tiling in Golestan Palace (a famous palace located in old Tehran from the Qajar period).
I inspired this collection just from this pic that I found in a book. it take from Golestan palace. a most famous palace in Tehran that introduce a part of Iranian identity.

Below you can see pictures of old and new Tehran, Golestan Palace, Azadi Tower, Milad Tower and Tehran's modern architecture. I tried to use all of them in branding.
DESIGN PROCESS
I completed it in several steps
First, I created unique illustrations inspired by the modern essence of Tehran, incorporating elements from Golestan Palace›s exquisite tiling.
Next, I skillfully merged these illustrations to form a harmonious design that captures the diverse facets of Tehran.
Then, I extracted the logo from the intricate pattern, infusing the design with a touch of playfulness and creativity.
I named the project «Hello Tehran» and designed the logo to feature two iconic architectural symbols of Tehran, the «Azadi Tower» and the «Milad Tower» with the phrase «Hello Tehran» written in Farsi beneath it.
For branding purposes, I carefully selected and modified two colors from the tiling palette.

Step 1: I made every element that was a definition of the city for me in the form of simple images using the type of tiling. Such as buildings, famous towers, traffic, nature and traditional motifs of the city.
Step 2:  I merged the images to get a unified design and limited the colors and among them I chose two turquoise green colors that are famous in Iran and yellow color that was used a lot in the Qajar and Tehran eras.
And then how can I use it, how to increase or decrease the pattern.
Now I wanted to design a logo for this concept. So I took it out of the pattern. a combination of two Azadi and Milad towers in the form of old bricks and with the inscription "Tehran Salam" which means "Hello Tehran"
