The goal of the project was to develop a modular tectonic system that when manipulated could both filter and block light, as well as respond to the movement of the sun.

The project began with the creation of a tectonic system that could be manipulated into a dark space and a light space. The program developed it into a light filled greenhouse and a dark archival space for the storage of drawings of the plants, in a 30 foot by 40 foot site. The program also included outdoor garden space, and observation decks from which the plants could be monitored and drawn.
