An initial part of the process, prior to creating personas, was creating empathy maps to understand my audience. I had a lot of fun with these, delving into the mindset of the audience.

The goal of this project was to create my own interpretation of a currently existing non-profit organization app. I chose to redesign an app for the Japanese Friendship Garden of San Diego. The end product is an app prototype designed in Figma.

I created two persona cards, informed by both my own knowledge and the demographic statistics of the San Diego area. I then used those personas and designed an app that would meet their needs and would serve as an educational guide to the garden and Japanese culture.
