Lateiro is a container and compacter of cans for the street. The aim is to reduce the volume of metalic trash (more precisely aluminium) being mixed with other types of trash. By doing it, would help reduce the cost of colecting aluminium for recycling. 

Lateiro is a bollard designed tu crush can and stack the can inside itself. You push the hanlde up, put the can inside, then push the handle down and as you do that the can is crushed and goes inside the main structure of the bollard.

This way it's much easier so separate the soda cans right there, in the street where you dink it. Just put them in Lateiro instead of the regular garbage.
