The ToToast is a new concept of toaster that solves the problems associated to the cleaning of this type of electrical appliances, offering at the same time, ease of use and the ability to keep warm toast.
It consists of two parts: the toaster unit where the resistance and the electrical components are located and the toast-holder element, where the bread slice is placed. In this element, there are no electrical components what allows its cleaning even in the dishwasher.
Operation
Place the bread slice in the toast-holder element, position the toaster unit on it and push the toaster unit down.
After selecting the time, the ToToast starts running.
Once the set time has elapsed, the toaster unit jumps showing the bottom part of the toast. This way, the user can check whether it is ready or not. If the user decides not to eat the toast immediately, the toaster unit can be left in this position and the toast will stay/keep warm. If the toast is not ready, it is enough with pushing the toaster unit down again and the ToToast will start running again.
Operation Principle
To enable the movement of the toaster unit a mechanism composed of a metal plate, a spring and a magnet has been designed. When the toast-holder element is inserted in the toaster unit, it compresses the spring. The metallic plate operates the switch, so that the current begins to flow and the metal plate remains suspended due to the effect of the magnet.
Once the set time elapsed, the current stops flowing, the magnet releases the metal plate and the spring stretches and it make the toaster unit go up.
