Our chosen brief was 'Less is More'. We tackled the problem of over consumption in general. We decided to tackle the problem by creating a brand that focuses on transformative, multi purpose, eco-friendly and sustainable garments and textiles.
In times of increasing ecological, political and economic crisis, a dystopic future doesn’t seem far away. The current approach of the fashion industry to recycling is not an entirely fulfilling solution for the ecological crisis. Garments can however be a starting point for a dialogue about an individual’s relationship to the garment and fashion’s impact. The product and the process involve the wearer, designers think of their targeted consumers and consumers envision their dream style. A person brings in a garment with a history, with a special emotional value or personal memory.
This is a group project. All work is collectively done by : Andrea Antororsi, Celine Asmar, Daisy Mountford-White, Dongyang Li, June Huo, Kieran Jamieson, Poppy White, Trisha Broker, Yiran Fu, Yuemin Zheng, Yuxin Zhou.
