Memento Mori.
The story of how I created 3 posters for 1 animation.
1. The initial version and further basis for this project was created for my students to practice 3D capabilities in Illustrator (text around the head) + texturing, masks and color correction in Photoshop (statue, background).
2. ASCII mosaic variant I made, because I wanted to create something like this for a long time and I just happened to find a tutorial, how to make such a thing in After Effects.
3. The last variation I got in the process of creating a transition from ASCII version to the original. It took me a long time to figure out the best way to do it, but then I remembered about the Pixel Sorter glitch effect. As a result, the animation turned out to be cool and the 3rd variant of the poster emerged.
