Fragments of misplaced memories: an archive
The Space Caveman's fragments of misplaced memories is an archive of visual depictions of his own experience with loss of memory; The archive consists of surreal, confusing, strange and uncanny landscapes/ spaces inspired by his own distorted and fading memories, and the way he perceives them in his mind, not being able to quite place them in time and space. This is his attempt at recollecting them.
With the haunting fear of the loss of memory and sanity, he finds himself in a liminal state of confusion;
What he shows us is all he remembers. He does not know who he is, where he came from, or where he’s been. Still, he remembers his name - “It’s what they used to call me. Although, I can’t seem to remember who They are”.
